Hoop Blah Mr Angry Luton use an unlicenced agent - 10 point deduction.
QPR use an unlicenced agent - £75k fine.
Try to guess which club is owned by billionaires, and which isn't.
IIRC Luton's crimes were not just limited to using an unregistered agent though. It was repeatedly doing it and, probably more important, for financial irregularities around a lot of the payments too.
I don't think the two cases are that comparable (there were a total of 55 charges brought against Luton for a start).
I have highlighted the specific charges that both QPR and Luton faced with regard to the use and payments to an unlicenced and therefore unauthorised agent.
Luton's situation was that over a number of Years, they had made 6 payments (totalling £160K) to 6 seperate unauthorised agents. After the club went into administration, as soon as the new owners discovered that this had happened they pleaded guilty to the charges; they got a £20K fine and 10 points deducted; they had other punishments for other charges for which they were found guilty.
QPR, although it was "just" 1 unauthorised agent, would have certainly paid that unauthorised agent far more than £160k for his part in a £3.5M transaction
So the comparison is this: the new owners of a club discovers that previous owners broke the rules, so plead guilty to the charges. A different club pleads not guilty to charges relating to rules broken under the current ownership.
The club pleading guilty gets a £20K fine and 10 points deducted, whilst the club pleading not guilty gets a £75k fine.
The only difference as I see it is one club can afford expensive lawyers (who threatened legal action if any points were deducted) and the other club couldn't.
The FA has been shown up - despite all of the posts earlier in this thread about how we should wait and see what happens - as EXACTLY what we all knew them to be; a spineless bunch of useless idiots.
Well, I hope they realise that they have sown the wind, so they shouldn't bleat when they reap the whirlwind.
As for that QPR tw@t coming on here and going tee hee; mate, keep your best wishes; I'd rather NOT have the best wishes of a fan of a club who cheat to suceed. Enjoy the Premiership - your club has suceeded through cheating so please DO enjoy the fruits of their labours.
