Parking on Friday

by Dave the rave » 12 May 2011 10:55

Usually I've been lucky enough to use on of two of my Uncle's blue parking tickets.
Alas, this will be the first time I've needed another option since they shut the white car park opposite Courages.

Where is the best place now and what does it cost these days?

Thanks peeps.

Except that if you look for a white two storey car park you will never find it as it has been demolished. You can still park there though on the wasteground for £8........................

Foster Wheeler Park & Ride - £3.50 return on the bus, free parking. Or a 40 minute walk if you fancy it.

We park in Greenfields Road across from the park on Basingstoke Road. Just cut through the alley and you find yourself in a quiet little residential road. 15 minute walk to the ground, free and safe parking.

If you work at RIBP then why don't you park there?

Dave to get to the premier foods come in on A33 from M4 Junction11 at first proper roundabout turn right. Then take 2nd left (which is just past the right turn to the official car park on old HP site). As you turn left you will see the car park guys for the charity almost immediately on your right.

Or you could just park somewhere in town and catch the bus. I usually prefer to park on Kendrick Road and walk to the train station. Then catch the bus back into town and drive home. The advantage of this is that the majority of cars will have left the vicinity of the stadium by the time you reach the M4.
