LUX that's reserved for Maq.

er, and my son.

That will clearly be one of his formative experiences.

I can just see him describing the scene to his therapist in years to come.....

LUX I've just seen the Bree Louise is mentioned on another thread. That post says to eat/drink there beforehand and then get the Met line to Wembley.

Seems a good idea, but do those Met line trains run on a BH? In my day, they terminated at Baker Street, except during weekdays at rushhour.

I have no idea I'm afraid LUX. The Metropolitan line is probably my second least travelled on line after the Waterloo and City.

I like the idea of them not running a major tube line up to Wembley when its hosting a sell-out football match.

To be clear, as this has confused 2 posters now including one with a degree from a top university - we know Met lines are running, the question is will passengers need to change at Baker Street if they've boarded at Met Line stations east of here :?:

Yes, if for example you get on the Metropolitan Line at Euston Square and head towards Wembley Park, you will need to disembark the train at Baker Street and then immediately spring back into the carriage before the doors shut.

or even, do those Met line trains even run east of Baker Street on a BH? Their raison d'être is for commuters from NW London to get to the City.

I think we're a long way from Club Policies though now, Red.

No bad thing at all TBF. I did think, during the week at least, it was the Uxbridge branch trains that went all the way to Aldg8.

Possibly when there's an event at Wembley they'd want to keep more rolling stock on the section of track North of Baker Street and let the circle/H&C line handle the other stretch :?:

All I'm saying is it's not going to be me who puts my neck on the block by confirming or denying this.

Fine as in normal service? What does that mean though, we're no closer to answering the question.

I have at least learned that LUX is also a panicker and that bean-counting Eurocrats cannot be trusted to navigate major capitals by themselves.

He's too used to riding the gravy train.

True. All in all it's amazing he managed to organise getting tickets for the game without outside assistance......

Royal Lady
lowerwestjnr RL, will you be partying in Reading during the game as well? Or are you still heading down to support from outside the stadium?

I'm sure the money will go through later and we'll get our tickets by end of the week.

But I probs won't bother now with trying to arrange a meat up after the game. Even though Mags was the first one throwing shapes in the WaLOLkabout after we got promoted.

harsh but fair.

I am panicking about:

1. the ash cloud
2. does the met line run east of Baker Street on a BH?
3. will I manage to meat up with Dirkers, who's got my tickets?
4. what's all this about Ticketzone getting it all wrong?
5. where will I put my overnight bag as the hotel (cheapo Travelodge) won't take my left luggage until the afternoon)? (Problem solved: I'll just bring a toothbrush).
6. Are the CoB really boring?.
.
.
92. what if we lose?
