Terminal Boardom 7 managers in 8 years? Laughable. Just think what they could have achieved with some stability. Man City appear to be taking the same path.

How many clubs have stability these days? It's not just Chelsea.

Errr... Man Utd, Arsenal, even Tottenham to a lesser extent. It takes time to build a legacy. It can't be bought off the shelf. I heard on the radio this morning that Abramovic has spent something like £600m on players during his tenure. Just what do Chelsea have to show for that level of investment? Where is the infrastructure which results with a steady stream of quality youngsters?

3 PL titles
3 FA Cup wins
2 League Cup wins

So what could Chelsea have achieved with more stability?

I don't think it can ever be built, no matter how long it takes.

A legacy either happens or it doesn't - and throwing money at it won't change that.

TBM It depends what you class as success though - to Arsenal, the club, all they need/want is to qualify for the Champions League year in year out........they are running a business. Abramovich on the other hand is like a supporter and see's not winning a trophy as a failure......the fact is, Chelsea have qualified for the CL and will net shit loads of money for it, but abramovich is playing real life Football Manager and wants silverware.

So Arsenal didn't want to win the league, the league cup or the FA Cup this year? I don't believe that at all.

Not saying that but they wont sack Wenger for not doing so......yes it was disappointing they didn't win a trophy but as a club/business, Wenger has done exactly what was asked of him (qualify for the CL)

Abramovic has spent a billion on Chelsea. And the best players Lamps and Terry were already there. A shocking waste of money.

So you agree that Chelsea bought their success?

I must admit, Abramovitch has given you a lovely training ground.

It's not as easy as that m8 - look at Spurs and City - biggest spending teams since 2005 at they haven't exactly got a big trophy haul in that time.

TBM has it pretty much spot on, imo. Wenger is safe as long as Arsenal qualify for the CL. Which means finishing 4th or higher.

Well, blow Chelsea down for being more ambitious than just getting CL qualification.

Of course - Arsenal haven't qualified for the CL yet........

so? Looking on the team board it's full of Reading fans money about Madejski not spending enough on the team.......yet Chelsea spend money and you moan about it. Bit of a Kantradicktion even in with different scales of money.

I'd imagine that they're two sets of different people, wouldn't you?

And that's not really relevent to the point made. Arsenal don't quite have the money to compete with United or Chelsea, so Wenger's main aim is to get to the CL - and preferably the last few stages - and to be in contention for domestic trophies. If he keeps it up, he will not be sacked. That is simple.

That there are serious problems with the teams that he builds (nerve, strength of character, seem weak under physical pressure (tehy were successful with Vieira and Adams and Keown and much less successful with Fabregas and the identikit anttacking midfielders they have) is still an issue, just not a relevent one to this debate.

Reading fans who whinge about us not signing big name players are as foolish as people criticising Wenger for what he's doing at Arsenal.

Well Chelsea is being bankrolled unlike Spurs, who haven't got as much of a substantial debt. Man City are of course Chelsea MK2 but we are starting to see how Man City are over-taking Chelsea. Man City will struggle to replicate Chelsea's success of the last 5 years but it will be the blue City being the bigger challenger for trophies than that of the blue of w.London.

Chelsea will soon drop to just above Spurs in the pecking order.

Well, they still haven't won a trophy in 6 years, despite being in a final against a team who got relegated.

Yes - and Abramovich was going to up sticks and leave a couple of years ago wasn't he?

You can keep Abramovich - you'll still sink below Man City who have more money than you, Man United have the infrastructure, Arsenal have their academy/well run club.

If Abra leaves, you'll go below Spurs. Abra can't afford to leave - he has invested so much he needs to save face.
