Ferguson not in the mood for silly questions

by FiNeRaIn » 24 May 2011 16:18

An indiscrete Sir Alex Ferguson is caught whispering that he wants a journalist who asked a question about Ryan Giggs banned from future Champions League final press conferences.

lmao - brilliant. What a proper manager.

That's future conferences for this particular game, yes?

No-one would be arrogant enough to mean press conferences for Champion's League Finals in years to come...would they?

Ah, it could be, given it's MUAWDWWWFC...

Fergie's hardly going to criticise in public one of his main players...even if in private he might be hacked off.

Wouldn't be so bad if the question was not so innocuous.

Fergie has no right or power to have a journo banned from the Friday press conference, as its a UEFA event, and not a Man Utd event.

The journo only asked about how important Giggs was to the team. I think Fergie is reacting a bit OTT if you aks me. If the journo had asked about why hemissed training, or about the injunction then fair enough, but he didn't.

Yep, seems like a perfectly fine question to me.

"Ryan Giggs is the most experienced player in your team, how important is his experience going to be for the final".

Whats wrong with that?

Nothing's wrong with it in the slightest of course, but as well as being a great manager Ferguson is also a paranoid control freak.

Maybe it goes with the territory.

And if you're expecting something to happen, and if a key part of your managerial strategy is installing a "they're all out to get us" mentality, then it's no surprise that you see things where they're not.

Wants to ban the journo from a press conference on Friday but it's not Fergusons call to make apparently as these are organised by UEFA.

What better excuse than Saturday's Champions league final?

Definitely not the fact he's slung one up an ex Big Brother contestant which has blown up in everyones faces in the build up to the Champions League final?

He probably loves that. It'll be the usual "They're all out to get us, they all hate us, everyone in the press is against us, now out there, do it for Ryan and show them......"

Is he going to ask for a ban for Clive Tyldesley for mentioning his name in the commentary on Saturday? Please God, I do hope so.
