Jem Karacan “We all want to be playing in the Premier League against the best players in the world at the best stadiums like Old Trafford and the Emirates.”
It would be good if Stamford Bridge as good as Old Trafford or the Emirates.

Ian Herring Good work there Mike. That kind of observation is the kind of thing looked for in areas such as forensic science, chemistry and the like.
Karacan's natural embracing of the short list of 'best' stadia to be found in the Hairband League was as short (and long) as it should be.
Stamford Bridge (once a charismatic, idiosyncratic ground redolent of atmosphere, a cranky trendiness concomitant with its King's Road affiliation, and at the same time a corrugated out-house with its own eponymous shed for the housing of a brood of violent skinheads/suedeheads/casuals, with a running track that gave it space and an open contempt for its other space-pressed London rivals) now looks as if its owners had a look across the way and decided to model its new incarnation on something resembling Loftus Road on a form of concocted growth hormones.
Who'd have thought a club with its new pretensions to grandeur would have looked at the fallen midgets of QPR and the architecture of its own miniscule 'Subbuteo' ground confines and decided to model its new surrounds on the same. That's what Stamford Bridge looks like now. Slightly larger and out-sized, as if they'd taken the blueprints to Loftus Road and slowly immersed it in a solution of architecturally-enhanced steroids.
The 'mini-me' derby of next year for west Londoners, perhaps.

No Fixed Abode Can't believe Reading were allowed to play both play-off semi-finals against Cardiff at the Mad Stad.
