Maguire I've been browsing this site for some years now and I can't ever remember clicking on this board as frequently as I have the last two days.

These are glory days for Club Policies, unrivalled IMO even by the evolution of spectacular threads such as Stadium Expansion and ST Renewal.

We should celebrate.

Agree with this, its become my first port of call over last few days-week. Never seen it this busy before, so much so that i'm struggling to keep up! Never thought i'd say that about CP!

And to think the site used to crash under heavy traffic.

One piece of analysis occurred to me - given that it is a one-off special match that has spurred the recent flurry of activity, is that,

Probably, Nobbers who started this on-line habit early 2000's are not the same generation as grew up more naturally with more recent social media, and again quite naturally, given the passage of time, a fair proportion of us are exiled away from Reading these days over and above a fair proportion that were already exiled. So Hob-Nob is the natural first point of contact when you need the remote social reassurance that the plan is coming together.

Facebook and Twitter are great for spreading info, but just not right for anything like "conversation".

Speaking for myself, natch.

Well this occasion seems to be giving those who do not post often if at all, the chance to break their duck and get involved. I have seen a hell of a lot of new posters adding their views. All fresh blood to a sometimes jaded site is all good.

It's like rejoicing at a Battle of Britain fly past with a total stranger.

Never have I seen Maguire engage with so many intermediates. CP brings us together.

Are we starting our season in November then. It might get a little congested if so.
