One wonders when the PL will get its fixtures in sync with the FL, yet again we have them carrying on well into May when eveything else finishes in April not to mention the absolute farce of games having to be postponed on 5th May because of the FA Cup final.

And don't spout the drivel about having to rest after WC or Euro Finals as there's loads of internationals in the FL as well, plus the finals are only every 2 years.

They won't because they refuse to. It's been suggested to them so many times but they just won't - I think they want to stay special and exclusive, as well as playing a political game about cup replays. It's a pawn thet they hold to try and get rid of them.

8 fewer league games for Premier League teams, but in the region of 15 or so additional games for those in Europe, plus generally longer cup runs, means I can see why the Premier League season needs a bit more time.

I was expecting them to be a lot worse than that. Newcastle should be three points, home to Liverpool they really should fancy themselves, and Man Utd will be a good ding-ding.
