Hearts player on sex offenders register

Hearts have decided not to sack Craig Thomson, after he was convicted of indecent behaviour towards two underage girls online.

Wonder what the 'mitigating circumstances' were?

He won't last 90 minutes in the coming season, he'll be getting abuse from all sides.

He's just outright said that Scottish football is corrupt, surely the SFA has to respond?

It reads like it's been auto-translated from Gaelic using Google Translate.

Sounds like Hearts are saying he was trapped by the "mafia" and these girls were working for them.

Jim Jefferies has come out and warned that he might struggle to get in the team with competition for places. In reading it it sounded more like a 'they might back you but I certainly don't'..

Fans will have it in for him where ever he plays, and if I was a player I'd want to nobble him too. His card is well and truely marked. I can't see his career holding out beyond this season.

A local primary school called off a visit to the Hearts training ground due to the potential for the player being present meant that it would be an "unsafe" environment for the children.

Yet Marlon King, who was found guilty of sexual assault and so would also be on the sex offenders register, appears to be immune from having schools take similar action.

Considering he's on the sex offenders register that would be unlikely, but then I've not been following his public engagements

Some water company that sponsored the football club has now pulled out as they don't want to be associated with the football club. It'll cost Hearts a whopping £5,000.

You have to laugh don't you?! Like he's going to be on his own with any of the kids, or even THINK about trying it on. Again.

Alone with them or not I wouldn't be comfortable with my kids being anywhere near the man, even just for a signature and in the company of other adults.

Hearts have formally suspended him this morning.

Inevitable.
