Svlad Cjelli If understood the question I'd comment on it.
For instance how could the Premier League possibly threaten at international level when it's a competition for clubs not nations?
PL clubs have done fairly well in European competitions in recent years, but if this is meant to be a question about England competing internationally whilst also hosting the PL that's been discussed to death a a couple of threads very recently.

PL clubs have done fairly well in European competitions in recent years, but if this is meant to be a question about England competing internationally whilst also hosting the PL that's been discussed to death a a couple of threads very recently.
because the premier league is held as the worlds best but on the international stage england are also rans?

That's the sort of comment you regularly heard 20 years ago about top sides in other leagues, but I love to see a single example of that being said about the current Barcelona team.

It's only really hailed as the world's best by people who don't ever see anything else to compare.
As for the second part, maybe the england team would do better if it was allowed to sign foreign players, like the premier league clubs are.
