We still aren't producing enough quality players to fill a competition winning team.

But as the commentators were saying, Germany started to struggle, but they changed their rules.. which meant more german players in their league and they started up an academy system which is just starting to produce. We've only done one of those so far so in terms of being forward thinking and producing the right players we are still a long way behind the the dominant nations.

.... All a bit manic now 2-3 in the last couple of mins - no real pattern just desperate 'thud 'n blunder' v an admittedly rattled German side.

..... And of course an equaliser wd mean pens :shock:

All over ended 2-3.

Glad they showed some heart and got back into it, a capitulation would have been painful
