Fairly sure I got an email, maybe a text, telling me not to throw away my old one as that will work next season too.

Actually suprised he tickets are £395, thought we charged a lot more than that. No wonder there's no transfer news.

interesting point.

how much money would 10-11 thousand ST holders paying 500 quid for their STs raise for the club? would we be willing to pay the extra? how much would the ammount gained increase our prospects of promotion?

also- i see we have sold 600 more STs this year than last- what with the pre play off boost we would have seen from increased interest, and possibility of cheap prem footy.imo that would have represented a significant lowering of ST sales if we hadnt have gone on that run etc.

If they were all adults paying an extra £50 each the extra income would be something like it'd be something like £550K, but of course a fair proportion of them would be concessions and there's also VAT to be taken off that figure, so I suspect you could easily halve that figure - let's split the difference and say £300k.

On an annual wage bill of say £10M that'd keep the club running for just over one and a half weeks.

Plus of course if you put the price up you'd get fewer than 11,000 renewing, so that £300k is unlikely to be attained.

ok, im convinced. in fact, im convinced they should knock another £50 off, since its only a week and a halfs worth.

So much for all the 'no-one will renew their STs after this 'crap' season' then. It would be too much fun to revitalise that mindless thread and identify all the people who are now going to eat large doses of humble pie.

tbf the club has deliberately conned them with 8 wins in a row, promise of wembley/promotion,
they took their money, then drugged the players on playoff day

To answer the OP, I'd be surprised if the club aren't waiting for the release of the new shirts so they can send STs and shirt info out to all 11,700 STHs in one mailshot.

The design will be out long before the shirts themselves ......

Would have looked a lot nicer with the hooped stadium backdrop on the front of the card with just some bogstandard Reading FC and card details or something. They may as well put a shirt on there with No.13 on it.
