The Premier League has changed their rules on so-called 'weakened' teams.
Top-flight clubs will now be allowed to pick any player in their 25-man matchday squad without fear of sanction from the Premier League.

ZacNaloen Those under the age of 21 don't count to the 25 iirc
So if you were to throw on a squad of predominantly u21's you could still be done for playing a weakened squad.

ZacNaloen If more than half the team are in the 25 then I think the manager has an argument for giving his youth players a run out.
Otherwise, it's stretching credibility. But then half of this "weakened squad" rubbish is on reputation anyway. Liverpool (for example) could produce a blinding group of 19 year olds in 5 years time and they end up in the first team before long. Would still be 3 years before they end up being old enough to count towards the 25.
