I phoned and got mine around 10.20 this morning and the phone lines were extremely busy. I'd be surprised in any (or many) of the 500 are left.

Why not? I've been a few times - Windsor, Stratford, Brighton, Uttoxeter and Epsom (for the Derby) but Newbury is a new one for me. Also it is their family day so the kids will be entertained as well.....and finally it is free.

Rightly or wrongly I had you down as an incredibly thrifty type who would view gambling as a waste of money.

perhaps we can offer a percentage of our combined winnings to the chairman in the hope of raising half the money for a non-league centre back?

I could be easily addicted to gambling so I try to avoid it (fruit machines cost me a lot in my younger years). Gambling is for fun now......and the kids will enjoy picking the horses.
