Actually, totally unsurprising. Glos is a small police force and policing a visit from Swindon was a big draw on resources without the problems in Gloucester the other night.

tbf intially I thought at first he was going away from goal, then looking again he could of easily skipped past the keeper and slipped it in.

Yeah, think it was a combination of collision, rather than deliberate foul, going away from the goal, and possibility of keeper getting to the ball first. Letter of the law he's got it wrong and I think Suarez would have got to it and popped it away, but you'd have to feel sorry for Richardson getting sent off for that. And Liverpool had enough chances to win the game without complaining about not getting to play 10 men.

When the attacking players is heading towards the corner flag, the referees usually let the defender off with a yellow - it is no longer a direct goal-scoring opportunity. It seemed a consistent decision with what we normally see. I don't think Richardson's intent comes into it.

And the game was only five minutes old of course.
