RoyalChicagoFC Awfully lean times up and down Yorkshire, too --Hull* the only side from up there in the top flight over the last five seasons to date and none last season or this (unless I'm overlooking something and/or just can't read a damned map)
*Do. Not. Wish. To. Revisit. The. "Hull. Is. Not. In. Yorkshire." Argument; IT IS SO

FiNeRaIn That's irreverent. If either club had the revenue of a PL club and the attraction of playing in a much better league....they would have a much better team.

RoyalChicagoFC Is this the nadir of Scottish club football, at least from the beyond-its-own-borders point of view?

Barry the bird boggler Let's not also forget the distinguished performance of CeLOLtic last night. 1-0 down and down to 10 men in less than 2 minutes

That's irreverent. If either club had the revenue of a PL club and the attraction of playing in a much better league....they would have a much better team and probably challenge the top four after a few years. Its a sad day when two of the oldest and most successful clubs in the world can't compete on the wage front with small championship clubs because the revenue is so dire up in the SPL. Back in the 90's both clubs had good European players...then the money came in.
