Stevenage FC are offering a great deal to football fans this Saturday to watch the highest league on show in England this weekend.

With the International break just 3 days away and a football free weekend in both the Premiership and Championship, League 1 side Stevenage FC have announced an interesting initiative by offering all season ticket holders of clubs from both leagues the opportunity to watch Saturdays match against Rochdale for just £5!

Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

For once I agree with Aggers - it's one thing ticking off grounds when Reading are playing at them - totally different in attending a random fixture just to tick a ground of the list.

Soon you'll be "doing a handbags" and going to the North West on a dull Tuesday night to tick somewhere like Edgeley Park / Moss Rose / Crown Ground off your list

Nothing wrong with ticking off a new ground when there's nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon.

Non league day this weekend so might go and watch an FA Cup tie somewhere.

Brentford did the same about 8 seasons ago.

What a lonely existence you must lead. Do you go into hibernation during the summer months?

What about fans of FCUM & United? Are they doing the above?

For what it's worth, none of the above took place unless you count spending £15 on a ticket and £3 on a cheeseburger as shoring myself out to the Dons

To me, it depends why you are doing it. If it's because you fancy watching a bit of football somewhere different, then I can fully understand that. I've done it myself many times.

I don't really get the appeal of "ticking off" another ground though. It just becomes more about collecting than about football.

Each to his own though, I guess.

Bit of both - wanted to watch a game of football at a decent level (Ie not my mates playing Saturday football) & when deciding where to go, thought we'd combine it with a visit to a new ground.

As it goes, I'm thinking of jacking in my Reading ST to do this every week as let's face it, home games are shit so if every game was an away game the world would be a better place
