Horrible news. Hope he can make a full recovery. Thoughts go out to him and his family at this moment in time. :(

Although people get beaten up outside clubs all the time - we need some context on whether this does has anything to do with him being a footballer.

Homosexuals tend to be a lot more 'zen' about things, I am told.

I heard it was because he had a howler the other day or something.

Tbf, if I saw Simon Church outside Walkabout, I wouldn't think twice about glassing him.

Southampton Football Club can confirm that Dan Seaborne has sustained a significant head injury and is in hospital under close observation.

His condition is currently stable, not life threatening, and he is showing signs of improvement.

Thankfully it looks like he will be okay.

According to the Mirror (I know)
he got in a fight because he was hitting on women (who had boyfriends) and bragging about his £5k a week salary and googling himself on his phone to prove it.

Ideal it is likely that he might suffer some brain trauma, and that his motor skills might be impaired.
He might have slurred speech, impaired judgement, lack of impulse control, lack of motor skills, and in short, this could seriously impair his quality of life.
Dean Windass did ok tho'

Good luck to the kid...

Ideal I think he's a left back.

Anyway, with "serious head injuries" it is likely that he might suffer some brain trauma, and that his motor skills might be impaired.
He might have slurred speech, impaired judgement, lack of impulse control, lack of motor skills, and in short, this could seriously impair his quality on the pitch.

Massive pinch of salt, but if it's true, even though it doesn't excuse anyone from giving him that sort of a kicking, I'd struggle to find sympathy for him. All behaviour has consequences and regularly behaving like a twat makes it quite likely someone will give you a kicking eventually.

All that a side, I wsh him a full recovery. It would be terrible to have your life ruined by a stupid youthful mistake. Even worse if you did nothing to provoke it. I hope the people who did it are caught and locked up, they're obviously a danger to the public.

I don't see them. IF he was being a twat, I find it hard to feel sympathy for him getting a kicking and he was probably asking for it, but I hope he gets better and learns from it even so, because it's an excessive beating if he's in that bad a state. That doesn't mean the person who beat him up was in the right and shouldn't be punished.

It's like wandering down a dark backstreet in a dodgy area fiddling with your Iphone and counting a wad of £20s. It's not you that committed the crime, but you did make yourself a prime target. You're asking to get mugged and it's hard to feel sympathy if you are. But you hope that the mugger gets caught and that the mugged person learns their lesson and recovers from any injuries / psychological problems.

people are different, some people will always think other people are being twats just because they don't like them. No one should get a kicking, for anything, ever.
