Great. Can I immediately daub you as oxf*rd unintelligent, with a big head as the Mekon's but completely devoid of any interesting brain activity?

You have no relevant input to this discussion seeing that you didn't even watch the game so you can oxf*rd off.

I have made just the one post on the thread, and made no comment whatsoever on the game.

I may not be very good at this internet banter thing but Jeez man, you are the worst ever. I could have belittled you on so many occasions over the last 5 years (there's just so much material I could use) but rarely respond because I have no interest in causing you any distress.

That will remain my position for as long as I post on this forum.

Can I respectfully suggest you call it quits now?

SpaceCruiser I am so ready for comments from RR....intelligent play between Young and Rooney....no brains, huh, you Lita hating oxf*rd!

Go oxf*rd yourself, ARSE ROTHER - preferably to FRANCE

Just giving him some abuse. He never says anything when England are winning. You could say he's the England version of SDR who doesn't like Lita. Oh and has an incredible fondness for a nice smooth arse.

Spacey<
I would like to pick you up on one thing-"England".
I know from my discussions in General Sport relating to cricket that RR is an avid supporter of England and he has openly rejoiced in the achievements by our national side in recent times.
He may choose to criticise our footballers or rugby players for their behaviour or performance on the pitch which is surely what sites like this are all about so don't pick him up on not being patriotic.

Good to see a comprehensive England win, and with the younger players coming though.

Lampards international days are clearly numbered, though I suspect Cappello will take him to Poland/Ukraine next Year as he will need someone to put out the cones for the first team's training sessions.

I've said it before, but there's no player better at the pointless one-two than Lampard, his passing stats will be sorely missed once he is gone. And John Terry will just be running around in circles.

Bulgaria were hardly tough opponents though and England's third owed more to the referee missing a handball when Bulgaria were on the attack. I thought Cahill looked solid and took his goal well. Would have preferred to have seen Walcott in a more central role with Young and Downing providing the width but that is me being pedantic. I would have taken 3-0 before kick off and thanks to Wales, we have an excellent chance to qualify - which is the whole purpose of the qualifiers.

An easy victory and good to see the younger ones coming through.
I think everybody needs to hang fire a bit (especially regarding the likes of Jones,Smalling,Cleverley,Welbeck and Henderson)on this being an exceptional new breed as most of them played during the summer just a few weeks ago in the Euro U21 tournament where the team were dire.
The best of it all is that Capello has seen the light and realised that changes had to be made even if some of these came about because of injuries to others.

Capello's qualification record with England is now a rather handy P16 W13 D2 L1 F48 A9.

But you'd really expect that sort of record in qualification.

It's in tournaments that it actually counts.

Really? Looking at the standard of the opposition teams and the relative rankings should give you a similar expectation, regardless of your allegiances.

My perception actually when I looked up England's record was that we were particularly good in qualifying relative to other countries but looking across the board now it is only Portugal, and to a lesser extent France, who generally experience dodgy results in qualifying.

Germany have won their last 18 qualifying matches, Netherlands 15.
