Still Hate Futcher! What's so mongy about the idea of club before country?

Nothing but when (if) Church and HRK play tonight they aren't playing for the club.....they're playing for their country

And what a shitbag of a country it is.

If my best mate was playing in goal for WaLOLes I'd still want England to stuff them 10-0 and for him to be sent off, let alone a couple of footballers who would play for anyone who would pay them.

Ideal If Carew has a good game that will probably decide the outcome.

Got to be England against Wales (or especially Scotland)....I agree with the comment about feeling tainted supporting Man Utd or Chelsea players though

I love supporting our national team, even if it is hard work at time because we've a great tendancy to play shit. I won't stop supporting Reading at times when we're crap and it's the same with England.

I find it quite sad how some like to belittle the national team and seem to think it's somehow clever to look down their nose at England and England fans.

The most annoying thing with international football is the media coverage. We did alright against the Bulgarians, but nothing too special, but already we're starting to see the hype creep back in.

Think the problem is that players like Carroll, Rooney and Terry can be utter tw@ts in their club football/ real life and then they play for England and we have to like them

andrew1957 If Hal and/or Church start this evening who will RFC fans be supporting - our players or England?

I have to say that I have become so fed up with the Capello era and international football that it would be Wales for me.

However, if Wales do not select our young stars it will serve them right if they lose 5-0.

Who are those "young stars"?
If they are who I think you mean they are hardly "stars"-reserve team players for a Championship club are not "stars".
As for the game,I'll watch it and hope that it is competitive but if it isn't competitive I'll watch something else.
I really don't enjoy games like that Bulgaria game on Friday especially when ,as Hoop Blah said earlier, the hype is back on already especially about our young team.....er,30 years or so old in Cole,Terry,Barry and Parker with 33 year old Frank coming on as sub, hardly a young team.
Obviously being English I would prefer England to win but if they don't,they don't.
