roadrunner England. I could never bring myself to support the filth. England has supported them for long enough!

TBM
zummerset Think the problem is that players like Carroll, Rooney and Terry can be utter tw@ts in their club football/ real life and then they play for England and we have to like them

No you dont

You can still want England to win without liking the players.....

This, and I'm not overly bothered about what they do off the pitch as I'm more interested in the football than the celebrity culture that surrounds the game these days.

I don't support the players, I certainly don't support their celebrity image, I just want to see 11 Emglishmen combine to make an attractive, effective, entertaining and with a bit of luck winning football team.

I can't force myself to care about England when they put in tedious pedestrian performances like that time and again. They should be a hell of a lot better and play a hell of a lot better football. Instead we get the absolutely horrendus midfield of Lampard, Barry & Milner. What a oxf*rd awful combination.

Much happier supporting the welsh than that shower of underachieving, unlikeable shit.

So if it's top class midfield action you want, why do you follow Reading :?: :?:

Because the players care more and try harder, because Reading aren't overrated, overpaid (in football terms) underachievers. Because watching them is far more exciting.

Part of the appeal of football is passion - with international teams you get all the ability on show but hardly any passion.

To be fair, that looked exactly like the kind of game you see in the prem when a lower to middling quality side with a couple of quality players faces up against a top 4 side.

Not really fussed there, we won all that matters.

It's when our players struggle against a team who have mostly semi-pro players that I get frustrated.
