As the other posters have said, it is so prevalent now that it's hardly a surprise footballers are in on the act.
It's actually easier to order than a pizza (and quicker to arrive) in London. I also love the irony of channel 4 doing the expose. Love to see the results if they did some random drugs tests at their offices...
The fact that it is out of the system quickly, one can function the next day and all their mates are probably doing it means it's easy to see why it happens....however stupid that decision may be.
Carroll would be an obvious front runner, but I think he's too "big" for this story. It will probably turn out to be someone who doesn't even play in the PL any more but once moved for about £3m. In which case it suits them not to reveal the name in advance as it will increase audience size out of anticipation, only to let them down when the big reveal actually happens.
Thinking about it maybe someone like Gary O'Connor. Bit wild and sure he got arrested for possession recently but not charged...
