Yep - and we're still above Liverpool.

I just can't warm to Spurs, must be the Redknapp factor as he's a complete crook. But they do have a good squad on paper especially going forward. I agree their downfall would probably be defensively, there is no way King will stay fit all season, Dawson ditto will they get 38 games out of them combined? Wouldn't surprise me if Spurs are in the running come January if they went for Gary Cahill. Friedel was a great signing I've always rated him, not totally convinced on their left back either but Spurs are more than capable of beating anyone on their day and I agree it's nice to see another team potentially in the mix.

It really is City's for the taking though this season, they are passing every test thrown at them, have goal threats across the pitch and defensively have been good on the whole. Man Utd are a poorer side than they were last season, ditto Chelsea, Arsenal are a one man show and that won't win leagues. City could possibly do with another centre back but it's hard to pick weaknesses, in fact they have been so good this season they are giving the other sides a chance in games by selecting Gareth Barry which is nice of them.

Not being funny but is going for Cahill really the right solution for Spurs? They have King, Dawson, Gallas, Bassong, Kaboul, Corluka, and Khumalo and Caulker who will return at the end of the season.

Admittedly, none of these will stay fit for the whole season, but surely there's enough there to not warrant buying another centre half? I would say that Cahill is only better than the two out on loan, Corluka and Bassong at the moment, meaning that Spurs already have 4 top class centre halves with at least 2 more than adequate as backup.

King/Dawson is basically 1 because you will not get 20 games out of either, if they are lucky they MIGHT get 38 games out of the pair of them. Kaboul is ok decetn enough but wouldn't get in either of the Manchester clubs sides, Gallas getting on a bit and also has injury problems, Bassong never really held down a place there, Corluka's a full back and I can't see Spurs playing a bloke that READING don't think is good enough anytime soon.

Cahill is a typical Redknapp signing, an overpriced English centre half, in a struggling side so will want out. i seriously wouldn't be surprised to see Redknapp chuck £8million Bolton's way in January. Of course if King is fit and Dawson too they might not but I think it's the only area of the side that they could have issues with. On paper like you say it appears they have loads but some of them have chronic injury problems.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Vermalen(spelling? The arsenal centre back..) transfer in a couple of years if they haven't got somebody else in, and Arsenal remain shit. Just like Sol did all those years ago. But Cahill isn't their answer.. They will go abroad for the kind of centre back they want.

No, it officially ended last night, after 43 games.
