Focher Smalling and Valencia were alright, the rest were absolute garbage.
Spot on. Players like Evans, Gibson, Macheda and Diouf are very fortunate to be playing for Manchester United and won't be for much longer. The much vaunted, very young players like Pogba and Morrison looked a long way from being good enough yet.

without being biased to the championship, having a representative in the final has got to be what the country wants*, whatever the combination its not going to be the drab final most were expecting.

Yep, will be good to see a Championship side in the final. From Liverpool/City perspective, they know they have to beat the other to win the cup (in all probability) so having two legs to do it suits them both.
