Does anyone else think their continued anti-Kean stance is particularly harsh on Steve Kean? Couldn't they get behind the team rather than trying to get Kean the sack?

Are you actually LOLing at that? very standard response from Bolton and you'd expect nothing less.

I imagine they've had enough of their lot to be fair to them.

Apart from Hughes, and some relative success under Allardyce, they've had some pretty dull stuff over the last 10 years and, as Dirk said, they were then promised a return to glory by the new owners. Kean is a bit of a patsy for their lack of walk after all that talk.

Obviously in the short term they'd be better off backing the team but it would seem that Kean is out of his depth, or at least the right man in the wrong place at the wrong time. They'd be better off getting rid of him quickly now.

very harsh IMO but id blame the new owners for not in any way shape or form backing up what they said when the first took over. They should have let him go in the summer and put their money where their mouth is and paid for someone like Mark Hughes to take over.

tbh i dont think its harsh

he's not a good manager, he's got no experience and they aren't playing good football. If it wasn't for Yakubu then they would be rock bottom.

you're right but he shouldn't be there in the first place, he's way out of his depth and the board should have seen that months ago

Cracking game, btw.

Hoillett looks like a top player, and it's ridiculous that Yakubu has never found his way to a top club, 9 in 10 for Blackburn is quite incredible.

He's too lazy tbh - a poor man's Berbatov

Blackburn just play to his strengths (ie lump it forward to him directly)

To say he has no experience is incorrect. He coached me at Thatcham Town and was at Newbury for a while, then moved to Reading and was number 2 to Chris Coleman at Fulham and Coventry and was also a coach under Allardyce at Blackburn.

But that's why the fans are so keen on getting him out the door. They can see that he's not up to the job of turning it round, or at least not in the current circumstances.

For the long term good of the club he probably has to go sooner rather than later.

LOL - i stand corrected

Although what you say still means he's got no managerial experience

That's it! Blackburn are bottom for Christmas! The fans near the dugout are having to be held back.

Svlad Cjelli Don't think they're that sophisticated. Kean was never going to be popular as he was unkown and untested whilst the the Venky's promised the moon on stick to the fans and have failed to deliver anything.

There's a bit more to it than this.

When Venky's bought Blackburn, they were being advised by an agent called Jerome Anderson. He recommended the appointment of Steve Kean (who was one of his clients) as manager along with his son Myles Anderson as Kean's assistant. Myles having been unsuccessful at a number of lower league Scottish clubs.

Venky's refuse to answer fans questions, have flown pro-Kean and Venky's fans out to India for discussions on the situation and cannot explain the club's management structure.

Having said that, I don't understand why the fans don't aim their vitriol at Venky's. Even if Kean goes, they still have the same problem.

Indeed - I was over-simplifying, but agree completely with the final sentence.

The owners look the sort that would make you have to crack open a few windows if you had the misfortune of standing in the same room
