FiNeRaIn Ian Royal And lets face it, anyone who doesn't know "coloured" isn't an acceptable term must have been frozen in a stasis tank for the last 20 years. Still, apology and lesson learned is all that's needed.
Utter garbage I haven't heard one person make noises about this not being acceptable until today. Hansen was trying his hardest NOT to offend anyone and be as displomatic as possible, he's a good 30 years or so older than me and my friends and I were taught to use coloured, never seen it raise an eye brow at all. Whats sickening is that people now are CHOOSING to get offended and make issues over everything.
They seriously want people to stop using this? Fine...lets have members of the black communities come out and give us the correct term to use going forward then and we'll teach that in schools. This is an utter joke
It's been on HNA several times over the last few years. It's in at least one major Hollywood movie of the last 10 years or so, just off the top of my head. No one ever uses the term "coloured" on TV without getting in trouble. And it's just plain meaningless on top of that.
Where have you been for the last 20 years? With your head up your arse watching 'Til Death Us Do Part?
Use black, it's more accurate and it's widely used and has been for the last 20 years at least. You can't be much older than me, and I grew up knowing it wasn't a good idea to use "coloured".
