New Years Eve Football

by LWJ » 31 Dec 2011 11:58

Just seen Matt Mills hit one of his famous cross-field passes.

Boring game at the King Power so far

And Futach (or however you spell his name) has just fired Portsmouth in front with a half volley from 8 yards out into the top corner

Nugent levels it with a commanding header towering above two Portsmouth defenders.

Atmosphere at United utterly bizarre. 70,000 people and it is dead quiet. Eerie.

Big weekend for the play off sides to close some ground if results stay as they are.

1 back for the sham.

Just realised the Bolton v Wolves today. Now that's a huge game, arguably more than the Bolton v Blackburn, because Wolves are just outside the bottom three.

Leeds' form has plummeted since Lonergan came in for McCarthy. Coincidence? He must have an excellent winning % at Championship level.

Reading won 8 games in a row, including a tie away at Everton, with McCarthy in goal. Coincidence?

Could use Millwall pegging back Palace. I don't think they're pretenders if they keep Zaha, Scannell and Clyne.
