Calling all Arsenal fans

by Rawlie19 » 31 Dec 2011 18:50

First off, Spacey go away – your comments are not welcome here.

On January 20th I am leaving to work in Nepal for the next 2-4 years for an organisation called United Mission to Nepal. This is a charity organisation and I won't be paid for my time there. I have given up my job and will have to raise funds to be able to cover my costs while I'm there. One fundraising event being held is a ball on January 14th (farewell/birthday/fundraising ball) which will also have as part of it a charity auction. One of the items up for auction that night is a personally signed Theo Walcott Arsenal shirt. This is personalised in such a way as anything the successful bidder wants will be written by Theo on the shirt (i.e. To Rawlie, the best player I ever played against, Theo Walcott). There is the opportunity for anyone that wants to bid to take part in 2 ways: 1) to submit (by PM) a highest bid which will be used as a 'sealed bid' on the night, or 2) by phone bid live on the night.

Either way, if anyone is interested then please PM me.

Thanks for your time.

Might be worth messaging Theo on facebook if you have him and asking him for some exposure on that.

I have a lot of neutral friends with him as we went to the same school so could possibly do it if you need any help. Pretty sure he'd update his status with a form of link to bid for it,etc He's got a fair few friends so word of mouth would spread.

Rawlie19 First off, Spacey go away – your comments are not welcome here.

On January 20th I am leaving to work in Nepal for the next 2-4 years for an organisation called United Mission to Nepal. This is a charity organisation and I won't be paid for my time there. I have given up my job and will have to raise funds to be able to cover my costs while I'm there. Either way, if anyone is interested then please PM me.

Thanks for your time.

Sounds good.

Good luck with your venture. Do you have a season ticket this year?

No, I gave up my season ticket this year as this was always on the cards and I knew finally at the end of July. I was at only my second game of the season on Saturday, and I really miss it. I will have to put up with only listening to the games online while I'm away, and my internet connection won't even be good enough to be able to watch any highlights.

I see.

I've moved from that part of the North Stand myself so I wouldn't have seen that your not there anymore. I sat a few rows behind you and always saw you on my way out.
