Nice to see some traditional English V-signs being attempted rather than the one-fingered version.
It's a pity one bloke didn't know which way round it should go though.

Schards#2Handsome Man Straight red looked fair.
He left the ground completely and went in with both feet.
You can't argue with that.
Both feet are on the ground

Schards#2 ^^ that picture is after the tackle has been made. When Kompany makes contact with the ball, it's with one foot and that foot's on the ground, he wins the ball cleanly and it's not even a foul. It's only two footed in as much that Kompany does possess two feet. Nani is in no danger as the worst that can happen is the ball is pushed against his foot.
If the FA want to outlaw sliding tackles altogether, that's what they should say, it is impossible to do a sliding tackle without your studs being in some way raised or, at some stage, to not have both feet momentarily off of the ground. If people were sent off for this when I was playing, I would never have completed 90 minutes and I suspect you wouldn't have either.
As for the last point, because the ref was crap and had completely lost control.

TBM Thing is, if Nani had gone down and rolled around for a while then nobody would be complaining about the red......you dont have to make contact with someone to be sent off these days.
People moan that refs aren't consistent, to be consistent they must apply the law as it is stated - as soon as "common sense" is bought in then you get inconsistency as everyone has a different view to the next.

No Fixed Abode If QPR get past MK, they want the game switched to the Bridge.

NFA in not knowing that the FA Cup rules forbid this so there's no way QPR would even suggest such a thing shocker.

No Fixed Abode Schards is always going to say Man City were hard done by - as he is a City fan.
He's like one of those sad numpty Reading fans on facebook yesterday complaining the ref was on Utds side. What I want to know is, why does it bother Reading fans so much that United won? What has it got to do with them?

TheMaraudingDog If you throw a punch does it have to land in order to be sent off?

FiNeRaIn Don't like either utd/city but if thats a red card in the modern day game we might as well give up now, utter joke how this is being made a non contact sport and people are being sent of for what " could have happened" not what actually happened. Farce. Won't be renewing my ST at the ding next season so hopefully this'll be my last season following the sport for a whole host of reasons.
