Goal for Williams at Northampton as well.
Also a professional debut for Angus Macdonald away to Crawley, currently 0-0.

And now he's off to Gillingham for a month.....

From Gills forum:

Obita -Started slowly, but grew into the game, and again looks a decent addition -7

That's Obita and Antonio tonight. We really don't have a bad winger at the club

Got invited to see the Franchisees against Yeovil and thought a review of Lawson D'Ath would be in order :

LD is clearly very enthusiastic, but at League One level is a bit lightweight.
He was played wide right and up against probably the best left back in the division. He didn't give Dean Lewington much to deal with.
The bumpy pitch didn't help his control and almost certainly contributed to the seriously miscued shot that landed at the feet of a colleague to score the only goal of the game.

His attitude during the game was very good, but his reaction to being substituted left more than a little to be desired - kicking the seat, throwing his tracksuit top and declining to handshake being offered by the management.

All in all I think I was ewxpecting a bit more.

Some good news though - the Franchisees lost, missed a penalty, played against 10 men for an hour and had a petulant red card in the last minute. Happy days

Police investigation after Gills fan hurt by ball smashed into crowd

Police are investigating after a Gillingham fan needed medical treatment when a Barnet player smashed a ball into the crowd in frustration.

The Bees' Michael Hector kicked the ball into the Rainham end as Gills scored in the 76th minute to take the lead during Tuesday night's match at Priestfield.

The ball hit a man in his 20s in the face, leaving him with a bloody nose. He was given medical treatment at the ground. It is unclear if he later went to hospital.

A witness said the ball hit the man "straight in the face, spilling blood everywhere."

Officers spoke to Barnet FC after the match and Kent Police spokesman confirmed they are investigating.

A spokesman for Gillingham FC said they informed the referee about the incident.

He added: "We are very sorry it happened. We are trying to trace the person who was hurt."

Are you the man who was hit in the face? Phone the newsroom on 01634 227803.

And most people at Southend thought HRK was terrible and not up to it.

Antonio has just put Sheff Weds 3-0 up in the 10th minute. We have so many promising wingers.

Michail seems to be a blinding League One player. If we go up, I can see him leaving to progress his career.
