From Tilehurst to Madjeski by bus?

Well I've always driven to the stadium for a match and parked the car on a side-street in Whitley which has generally worked out well - but after the Leeds match I got back to the car to find it'd been keyed to fcuk. Assume one of the locals didn't like their road being used for stadium parking but what can you do?

So thinking about an alternate approach since a few hundred quid for a respray is a little steep for parking, even in Reading...

I'm in Tilehurst so - what's the bus service like from there and back for a match?

Jamie.

17 or 33 to the town centre and then the football buses from the station. For the cost I would prefer to park at the stadium myself, but the buses are easy.

Why don't you do what I do and park on the gravel car park at the Basingstoke Road end of Acre Road? Get there 90 minutes before kick-off and I always get a spot. Never had any trouble. Or there is secure parking (£5 ish) down Acre Road as well. Less than your bus fairs.

Get yourself to the Triangle. 1:30pm for 3pm kick-offs, 7pm for 8pm kick-offs. 75 and 76 go from Purley/Tilehurst Station, up to the Triangle then towards Meadway. 76a goes from the Triangle to Langley Hill, then through Calcot and Southcote.

You'll be guarenteed at seat on the 76a, because it's a sh*t route and takes forever. 75/76 you'll get a seat 80% of the time but its a much better route.

£5 return.
