sandman City have to go to a very tough place against a good team on Sunday but then again United have to face Gylfi.

Did you see them at Wigan on Sat? Plus they play Chelsea on Weds only 3 days rest. City will win easy and bring the title home. It's over for Fergie, he is a sad broken man finished and washed up like his overated team. Happy days the empire is crumbling all around him.

Rooney was toilet but going missing in a big game again? Do me a favour!

United were all toilet in fact and if not for the old codgers they'd of barely strung 2 passes together

However, I do think Citeh might drop points v the toon on Sunday so it might not be over yet

I think Fergie got his tactics and team selection wrong. He played for a bore draw then left it too late when he made the last two changes. Rooney had no support, he's best playing in the hole not as a long striker. Hart barely had a save to make.

United were really poor but I agree that they were set up all wrong. Tactical shambles.

Rooney is no good as a lone striker. He's not a striker in the traditional sense, more a traditional 'number 10' as he's one of their best footballers and if he gets starved of the ball he just gets really pi$$ed off and continually drops deep to try and get the ball. They'd have been better playing Wellbeck there and playing Rooney off him. Not playing Valencia was mental as well but everyone's talked about that already.

IIRC West Bromwich Albion once went to Man City, had no shots on target, and still won 1-0

Reading 1-0 Notts County, Christmas 1999 (?)

Pretty sure we had 0 efforts on target and won when their centre back headed our keeper's clearance over their keeper.

What was Fergie's issue with the ref last night. Did I miss a really bad decision?

I thought his beef was more with mancini for sending on De Jong to "do his thing"

Over the years Fergie has got most things right but last night he didn't and therefore deserves criticism.
I was watching the game from a City perspective (long-standing bets and anti Man Utd reasons)and was delighted that he started with Nani and Park and left IMHO their best player this season Valencia on the bench.
Historically Man Utd's success has come from attacking teams but this season both in Europe and last night Fergie has shown fear and it hasn't worked.
I didn't understand why he went there for a draw when effectively he could have won the league last night-such a negative approach with NO shots on target-worse than Chelsea last week and as bad as Blackburn not turning up at Spurs on Sunday.

The game passed the oldies Giggs and Scholes by and showed us that Jones and Smalling cannot be relied upon in the Euros mainly from a point of view of their passing which really isn't up to international level and at the moment (as so often happens in our football) the hype exceeds the reality.
Still ,despite the bookies going 4/9 City IMHO it's far from a certainty but it is now theirs to lose.

"It's a great victory but we have two difficult games left and United have two easy games," said Mancini.

In his interview after the match he was muttering something about Mancini having complained about refs all season but can't after that one.

TBH I turned over long before Shreevesy had his chance to say "So alex, turns out you're not very good any more and your local rivals are going to win the league. How does that make you feel?"
