I'd like to see Birmingham go up, Chris Hughton seems a good bloke and has done an excellent job. They played decent football against us, I thought.

However having seen West Ham 3-3 Birmingham I'm surprised anyone thinks Birmingham will beat them at Wembley. Their defence couldn't handle WH in that game and they were really quite fortunate not to get easily beaten.

Most people are answering the thread question with who they want rather than who will win it.

Where as Swansea was a clear favourite for me last year it's a bit more difficult this year. I predict West Ham's decent away form will give them the advantage to make the final with Birmingham sneaking through just against Blackpool and Birmingham to win the final as West Ham choke.

They are all on good form. Even when West Ham were in a bad run, they didn't lose many, so I am backing them.

West Ham look in the best form out of all of them, If they hold their nerve they will win it. Beat Cardiff at their place easily not long ago.

Its a bit of a myth that the team finishing 3rd has a poor record. It isnt actually true, the top placed play off team has a better record than any other place since the play offs started.

It's not about the team finishing 3rd though. It's about the 3rd of a three horse race doing badly. Swansea finished 3rd last season, but it was Cardiff who had been up there challenging QPR most of the season, only to choke and end up 4th. Likewise we bottled it having been up there with Brum and Wolves all season, ended up 4th and failed.

West Ham are in that boat, and therefore are very likely to fail IMO.

Fu ck me, Blackpool are good at play-offs. Think I read somewhere that the win tonight was their TENTH consecutive play-off win and they have gone from fourth tier to Premier League just by winning play-offs
