Scrape through to the knockout stages after two underwhelming performances and a scrappy win in game three.

Lose on penalties to Spain the knockout stages.

It's what we do.

I have to say I don't understand the complaints about this England squad being 'stale' and it being the same as always.

Ruddy and AOC both are completely uncapped
Andy Carroll and Phil Jones have 3 and 4 caps respectively
Danny Welbeck is another one with only 4 caps
Players like Parker, Walcott and Hart weren't included in the World Cup

Some people will always find a reason to have a good moan, but I'm quite excited by this squad.

Simon's Church Wow, can't believe he's left out so many world class players. Shambles.

Apparently he's limited to picking English players only.

Harry would never have put up with this kind of handicap. Hodgson OUT.

lolwut

he's hardly ever played well for England and when captain has been noticeable for England not doing well

can't W8 to be proved right again (ovbs this doesn't count when his rolled-up sleeve passion and aimless hoofball gets us to the semi final)

Lose to France after a spirited performance, followed by a draw, then fail in the final match and go home early. Thats my prediction, we just don't have the players with the mentality or talent to do well. Not Roys fault, just the sad state of English players at present.

I was hoping the Rio would be preferred to Terry as he is a liability, and Carroll instead of Crouch suggests he is looking to the future. All in all, it seems the so called "Golden Generation" have one more chance, Can't say i expect any difference to when they have preciously played at major tournements.

I reckon we will surprise a few this year......as the whole nation expects us to go out early, the pressure is off slightly

Maybe and Roy is great at getting th best out of what he's got. We should remember we quailified reasonably well. however Group stages in the Euro's are normaly more difficult than in the World Cup so we could struggle.

To be clear, you're betting me £20 that England don't make it out of the group stages?

Done.

No Carrick, Johnson over Richards, Carroll instead of Holt or Crouch, Downing??

I was atleast hoping for a fresher squad. Never mind.

Why do people not like Glen Johnson? Always a good performer. Better than Richards.

France always beat us and even though the scoreline didnlt refelct it, played us off the park in their 3-2 win at Wembley

Sweden, always a draw

Urkraine, home nation and only team to beat us during qualification for the World Cup.

As mentioned, will go into the last game with high hopes and needeing a won only to put on a dire performance and go crashing out at Group Stages.
