Eden Hazard

by Franchise FC » 29 May 2012 08:05

Apparently, his decision was based on the opportunity to play regular Champions League football, choosing Chelsea over Man Utd or Man City.

He's gone for the money, then

I dislike this guy already, and he hasn’t even moved yet. Constant tweets and updates as to the progress of his transfer, ‘I’m choosing between three clubs’, ‘all have agreed personal terms’, ‘will make a decision soon…’ etc.

Fcuk off. Resembles the LeBron James saga in the NBA. No-one gives a fcuk, Eden. You’re a mercenary with it all still to prove.

Considering how long he was trending for on twitter I'd guess that quite a few people do actually give a fuck.

Man City were reportedly put off by his £170k per week wage demand

I wonder who at Chelsea sanctioned this? Was it RdM, or is this another Abramovich ego-purchase?

Seems mental to spend £32M on a player - especially one with such an over-inflated view of his own value - when you don't even have a Manager.

It also puts Lukaku (sp.) - a mere £18M purchase from Belguim 12 months ago - even further down the pecking order.

Abramovich buys most of the players - as AVB said once he was told Chelsea were signing a player, even though he hadn't said he needed/wanted him.

Pretty much this. He's been whoring himself out via the media and twitter for quite a few weeks now even announcing he was joining a club in Manchester only to see Chelsea up their offer. Never seen him play but if he has the skills to back it up then all that us forgotten, though if his mouth is writing cheque's his feet can't cash it will surely just add to the pressure

21 years old and already player of the season in France twice. I am quite excited at seeing him

actually I think he'll find it hard to adjust to the quicker football and packed midfields. there'll also be a ton of pressure on him from the off if he starts the season for Chelsea and it'll all be a bit too much for a guy who's still essentially unproven.

Also he doesn't appear to have stepped up to the plate internationally with only 2 goals in 27 first team apperances. Could he be another Obi Mikel?

Not the sort of player I'd want, too obsessed with the spotlight. But Chelsea could look pretty good next year if they have their attacking players all on form. Lampard, Mikel and Mata in midfielder with Torres, Marin and Hazard in front of them could be deadly
