Hazard tweeted: “I’m joining the European champions.”

He actually said "I'm joining the Champions League Winner" - but didn't specifically say which one. Oh, the intrigue.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. this kid's arrogance makes Balotelli look like Mother Teresa.

From the little I've seen of him he's got a heck of a lot of ability but I think Wax Jacket might have called it right, at least in the short term.

I can't remember who said/wrote it, but someone who sounded well informed (I think it was a manager/ex-manager) said he really needed to nuckle down to push himself as he was just taking it too easy being the big fish in the small pond in France. The difference in pace and intensity will no doubt take him by surprise but, if he's got a decent manager easing him into it, and he doesn't have to play because the owner says so, he could well turn into the next big thing.

Whoever is in charge needs to remind Abromovich how long it took the likes of Henry, Ronaldo and Nani to get used to the Premier League before their skills really came to the fore.

What a horrible little club Chelsea have become, everything I hate about modern day football!!!

No manager and still spunking 35mill on a single player.

Chelsea clearly think a lot of this unproven 21 year old if he is replacing players who managed 131 games between them last season.

French player of the year 2 years running, young player of the year 2 years running previous to that, team of the year 3 years running, player of the month 3 times, Bravo award winner.

All that and he is only 21........there is obviously something very special about him

If he's actually replacing 3 players he's going to have to run around a lot.

We'll see, I tend to side with others on here that Premier League midfields will be less to his liking.

My point above anyway was more that Kes' post about the wage bill is irrelevant unless Chelsea don't plan to replace the two forwards and defender they have got rid of.

pea Not the sort of player I'd want, too obsessed with the spotlight. But Chelsea could look pretty good next year if they have their attacking players all on form. Lampard, Mikel and Mata in midfielder with Torres, Marin and Hazard in front of them could be deadly

Hulk is also being heavily rumoured at the moment, too.

He'll play further forward than midfield.....he'll be part of a front 3

More than nothing at all, much less probably than you and any other smugsters who want to adopt that argument.
