I think you can trust in Bri and Nick and still express disappointment that we don't seem to be busting a gut to try and make this happen.

Don't you think that if Brain and NH thought that Gylfi was the player we needed, the we WOULD be busting a gut to make it happen?

People were shouting about why it wasn't us that got Gylfi when he first came to Swansea on loan, we got Roberts instead and, oh, won the Championship.....

You either trust the club, or you don't - on our recent track record I'm erring on the side of trust....if that means that Gylfi isn't coming to us, then so be it....

I trust them all overall. But there's more than one way to do things successfully and they also aren't flawless. I'm confident whatever they do will work out well in the end. But I'd also like them to do what I think is best... I'm not going to throw my toys out the pram if I don't get my way or say they're crap. I do reserve the right to constructive criticism though.

Being churlish - if Rodgers went to Liverpool and his big book of tactics failed him and by him going to Liverpool we managed to snatch Gylfi from under Swansea's nose, I'd be ecstatic!!

But we could have done that already - if we wanted Gylfi he'd be here by now. We've had weeks to submit an offer, declare our interest, etc. There have been no rumours in the papers, nothing, there is always something. A deal never gets announced before the papers catch a whiff, especially in the Prem.

He still needs to complete his medical. AFAIK he's away on international duty from tomorrow so today is when Swansea will want to get the deal sorted. The transfer window doesn't officially open until Friday anyway, so he may have already completed his medical but Swansea may wait until then to announce it. Lots of ifs and buts - if we don't hear anything today then I think it's too late.

I will be very surprised if Gylfi will sign if he is unsure of whether Rodgers is staying or not.

His problems at Hoffenheim started with a change of manager so if I were him I would be concerned. If he does sign I would assume that he is confident that Rodgers is staying.
