The RougeSchards#2 Have the penalty shoot out after 90 mins and then play extra time. The shoot out result only counts if it's still a draw. Ensures at least one side attacks in extra time, makes the shoot out slightly less pressured and takes a bit of the stigma out of missing the crucial one as there's 30 mins for everyone else to do something about it
I was going to re-type this idea. Suggested by G Hoddle I think about 10 years ago. Better than the current system and the advertisers/fans
would be happy as more of a spectacle.

cmonurz Only 1 in 7 are converted when they must be scored to keep the game alive? That seems low.
