Pardew trying to laugh this off after the game but I think he's in some serious shit here, If a player did that, I reckon that'd be 6-10 matches on top of the straight red.

Also, couldn't pick a worse day to do it, first game of the season when lots o people a comparing football personell and discipline unfavourably to the olumpics.

Sunday papers would seem to disagree, lets see what the disciplinary panel think. I wouldn't think they'd want to send out a message to managers, particularly at park level, that it's OK to push an official in the heat of the moment as long as you apologise afterwards, I've seen park games abandoned for less.

He will and he deserves to get a big ban.

Olympics won't make any difference to it.

Saints fans are shitting themselves on their boards at the moment. Their starting line up certainly looks a bit light-weight, there is a 17 year old in there!

Quite a lot of empty seats at City. Must be down to the Sunday service trains from Stockport.

He's on the bench pickle, looks like Adkins just prefers J-Rod

Seems a bit harsh considering his input last season

Nice to see Long's managed to perfect his diving technique to get even more laughable penalties than when he was with us.

Yeh, agreed. The Wearing seemed very angry about it as well.
