Bloody hell, I've left a club and needed a piss, sometimes it happens and sometimes there's no where to go.

He went for a piss down an alley, big oxf*rd deal.

But again, what you do is irrelevant, you're not paid to be a professional sportsman and role model.

The fact that The Sun have picked up on it is a pretty clear sign that this shouldn't be considered normal behaviour.

Reading FC is trying to become a significant brand, and stuff like this in the national press will damage that effort.

Nobody is trying to claim what he did was absolutely horrific (except maybe Ideal), just that he should have had the professionalism not to do it.

People seem to be misunderstanding the discontent of others on this topic.

I don't think anyone is annoyed that he's had a wee in public. I've done it numerous times but only somewhere very quiet away from anyone else. If you take the story at face value, he's done a lot more than just have a wee in public.

I think others such as myself are disappointed with the attitude of Morrison and level of unprofessionalism than the fact he had a wee in public. Thrown out of a club and showing off his **** to randoms is more the crime.

But WHY take the "facts" printed in the Sun as anything other than the usual exaggerated sensationalist rubbish?

He denies it. He says he went for a pee down an alley.

Some of you write as if he was exposing himself to schoolgirls

The sun does print a lot of rubbish, but you can't assume everything is exaggerated. On the other hand, we can't assume it is true either. He denies it but he would regardless so that doesn't mean anything.

WTF are you on about? :|

Normal behaviour = No media stories about behaviour

Naughty behaviour = Media stories about behaviour

Yes, we may all be L A D S and get pissed every weekend and f*ck coked up supermodels before breakfast..but footballers are held to higher standards and are compensated nicely for that.

Please Snowball, argue against these points if you disagree, but stop making ridiculous smart-arse snipes...you're embarrassing yourself.

Avon Royal LOL at the "won't somebody please think of the children" attitude on here

Did anybody die? Did anyone get hurt? Did anything happen that doesn't happen every weekend in every town centre accross the country?

Nope.

No but why should people put up with utter cu*ts waving it around and pissing in doorways. I don't want to see that, and couldn't care less if it's a Reading player or a stoned tramp. Idiots who can't look after themselves deserve all the embarrassing press they get. It's not like London's short of more appropriate places to relieve oneself. Worst case scenario, find a discreet tree or an alleyway.

Of course this could be the sun being a bit sensationalist, and if he was just leaking into a discreet bush, then fair enough.

LOL - you know the old saying "...if it's in The Sun then it must be true!"

However, as previously said, he does come across as the stereotypical thick footballer on Twatter......

Why should how much someone gets payed come into the equation on how they conduct themselves, because I'm payed a lot less does that mean I can get away with more stuff? At the end of the day he has been caught short and needed a pee so he went down a alley so blooming what, admittedly the lad should of turned round to the copper apologized and explained he was caught short and taken his telling of on the chin, but when such a thing comes out in the tabloids I can't really blame him for coming out and and trying to find a excuse to get out of it, after all he must be pretty embarrassed after everyone and their dog knows about it now.

It matters because part of Morrison's remit as a professional footballer is to stay out of the tabloids and act as a role model towards young children.

It's not the 'how much' that matters, it's what he's paid to do that counts.

Footballer's aren't paid just to turn up and kick a ball around these days. They have a wider social responsibility.

And this^ is what McD will be telling Morro tomorrow morning I imagine.

Whatever happened to "if you've got it flaunt it". If Morrison has a large penis I really don't see the problem.

Depends on whether he was having a discreet piss down an alleyway or waving his tackle about in the street. With the only source being The Sun, I'm more readily inclined to believe it was the former and if that's the case it really is a non story.

Either way, what concerns me more is the manner in which he has handled the situation aftwerwards which isn't particularly good. If that was me, I'd issue a statement stating that no offence was intended but apologising for any taken.

Footballers get paid a huge amount of money. Because pay is generally held to be linked with worth, I conceive that if you are paid more a greater level of behaviour should be expected from you. You rarely see the CEO of a company twatting about, for example. Also, surely footballlers would feel a greater burden to be worth the money they are paid, to reward their clubs for believing in them. That includes not getting pissed up between games to the detriment of your footballing performance and behaving appropriately.

It is the getting drunk thing and the way Morrison has handled this afterwards which is what miffs me. I'm inclined to believe him that he just took a piss in an alleyway, and that is a world away from exposing yourself in public, as reported by the Sun.

Snowball - think you will find that the sinking of the Belgrano was an Act of War and therefore, in fact, legal!

I would be interested if you held that discussion with a Falklands veteran, don't think any amout of stats could help you out on that one!
