Yeah don't see why they can't just continue as Leyton Orient when you consider many London clubs retain a name from where they used to play in the past; QPR, Arsenal, Millwall, West Ham, etc

Mind you, they did change from being Clapton Orient to Leyton Orient when they moved less than a mile east in the 1930s. The move* to the Olympic Stadium is actually a longer distance.

* although let's be honest, Orient can move to the Olympic Stadium about as easily as a snail can move a sideboard. It's not going to happen.

because Barry Hearne is so full of his own self importance that he has the arrogance to want to put London in the clubs name.

If you've read the articles on this then you'd know! They want to rebrand, they plan to give away season tickets in order to bring in x3/x4 their current attendances. We know better than anyone that a move to a new stadium brings in new fans, families etc. Rebranding wont be popular but it may help them develop in the long run.

Or is just trying to keep the football club going? I'm not what it has to do with his arrogance. The complete disregard and indifference shown by Wet Sham and Spurs for Orient as they were desperately vying for the Olympic Stadium smacks of far more arrogance to me.

Say what you want about Hearn the person but Orient seem more of a passion for him than his businesses which has turned around brilliantly. If he can do the same with Orient none of their fans will be moaning.
