Scottish Football

by Stuka » 10 Jan 2013 12:30

Yes nobody gives a shit about Scottish football etc etc

But can somebody tell me why if they want to restructure they don't simply make it two divisions of 21 teams or however many it is? The whole game up there seems to be self-destructing. The new League plans are mind-blowingly illogical.

I don't know about illogical but they are a bit confusing. At least it upset the huns though, I did like the quote from one of them yesterday about how they're in Div 3 and even if they win that they'll still be in the third tier, errm div 3 is the fourth tier you thick pcunts

Perhaps a semantic point but I can't see how something can be both logical and confusing, at least when it comes to football leagues.

Anyway the bit I find silly is where the League splits to decide relegation. Wow what a spicy competition that will be.

Quite liked the new ideas on promotion/relegation - if I understood correctly at some point in the season, the bottom x teams of say Division One would enter effectively a mini-league with the top x teams of Division Two, and play each other to determine the promotion/relegation spots.

At least means if you go up it's because you've beaten the teams you replace.

Doesn't winning the division mean they get promoted up a tier? :?:

They've also discussed the option of the team that scores the most goals in a match isn't necessarilly awarded the win.

Yep and if they get promoted they'll be in the third tier next season, same as if the reforms happen for next season

Something on the radio just now about Conference clubs receptacle to the idea of Rangers joining that division. Would be a good move for those concerned. It's pure fantasy though.

Predictive posting? Would they be receptive to the idea or just bin it in the nearest receptacle?

Yes thanks for that. Auto-correct is incorrect.

Eight out of the 11 clubs asked said they would be happy with letting Rangers play in the BS Premier.

If it is allowed to happen, they might as well merge the whole damn lot.
