Jazz Cafe

Quick question.

Do you still need to be a season ticket holder to go in the Jazz cafe before a game?

What's the deal with the hotel bar, before and after the game? Open to all?

Hotel Bar open to those who show there season ticket or member card. Only downstairs open so gets busy very quickly and you'll be lucky to get in after 2pm.

For league games they do check quite carefully. I tried getting in for a game recently and was refused entry. I thought they may just wave you through like in the Championship.

They or RFC announced earlier that it's open from 12 tomorrow, rather than the usual 12:30.

Well I've generaly got there around midday on a regular basis. Always been open at that time, no security on the door at that time either. Security gets there around 12.30 - 12.45.

Loads seem to.

I have a mate who gets there about 12.45 most weeks in the hope of nabbing a table, and doesn't always succeed.

Always open at midday for 3pm games.

No security till about half past. They'll have a quick mince around and assuming you don't have an idiotic Black Country accent you'll be fine season ticket or not.

Tables normally all taken by half past. How quick it fills up depends on how attractive the lunchtime game is.

Thanks for the replies, managed to jib my guests in on an old membership card! They did ask but didn't look closely, presumably they are just trying to weed out away fans.

I wish, like other stadiums, the space occupied by the Jazz Cafe was just a Reading FC themed bar/social club instead of this rather lazy attempt at bringing other mongs in who don't care for football.

but it was when the stadium was opened, but other than match days it was empty.
so they had to make it create an income. Hence outside deal to create non match day income.
