After 30 games we had 73 points, whilst Cardiff are currently on 64.

Putting this in context, the earliest point that they could catch up with our progression in 2005/06 would be by winning their next 9 games. Even then they would still need 16 points from the remaining 7 to beat our record.

It's easy for Royal with Cheese to remember the games we failed to win, because those were the ones he attended.....

Your memory is very good!

I did see us beat Derby, QPR and Ipswitch that season, as well as a draw at Sheffiled United and the two defeats!

TBF he probably has a few columns in that amazing spreadsheet of his with the names of all the attendees.

Clearly my spies had misinformed me on RwC attendance in 2005/06. I had been informed that you made the Hull home game, but not any other wins. Anyway, glad that you managed to get a bit more of the season in person.

Don't forget that apart from managing to catch both League defeats, I believe you were also at the League Cup defeat. Probably not at the FA Cup defeat, but it was live on TV so I expect you watched it. Quite a spectacular record.

I went to both defeats.

I think I went to about 12 games that season. Plymouth, Millwall, Sheff Utd league and cup, Luton home and away. Wednesday away. Those are the ones I know I definitely went to that season. Wouldn't have gone to any at the end of December as I was in Seattle and I moved to Cambridge that March, so probably didn't get to many after that... probably saw Watford, I seem to get to games with them a lot over the years.

Pretty sure it was Ipswich but a couple of my sojurns were pretty alcohol fueled!

Yes, I was also at the Arsenal game but not Birmingham. I must be the only Royals fan that season that saw as many defeats as I saw wins!

Cardiff still in with a vague shout of overtaking the record. If they max out over their last 13 matches they get to 109.

Nearly safe for another year!

Cardiff's choke against Middlesboro means their max is now 106. Silver lining on another disappointing day.

Blip at the moment, lose another couple on the spin and they'll be in full choke mode.

If only Watford hadn't fcuked it up against Wolves they'd be looking nervously over their shoulders this evening.

I still think they'll do it though.

We need to set a new record to bring some variation to this thread soon. How about not conceeding a goal next season?

It would be some kind of record to not concede in the next game, tbh, tbf, imho.
