.. my bet-aholic pal insisted on trying to get silly money on late in ET for the Spuds game - he doesn't like football - just had an excess of Fosters. Eventually got whoever he's got an A/C with (Betfair or someone) to take his bet on a pens win for Tottenham.

... as Adebayor prepared to run up I remarked 'this one's way over the bar' .... seems he even tried to have an instant Tenner on THAT with me too - wish I'd heard him properly!

He had won quite big recently on Hurricane Fly and Sacre Sprinter (?) so evidently was feeling the old 'fiery pockets'!

Final tickets started getting sent out today. Hoping for Basel v Benfica. Fearing Chelsea v Fenerbahce.

Not sure if that makes getting stuck with the Chelsea fans, if they get there, more likely or not.

I got stuck in with a load of very miserable Middlesbrough fans in 2006, watching their team get stuffed 4-0.
