Brits Abroad

by soggy biscuit » 30 Apr 2013 08:40

Read an article last week about Rohan Rickets who just recently joined Deportivo Quevedo in Equador and wondered what some of our other exports were up to.

Michael Mancienne - Hamburg. 21 league appearances this season. 3 games left and they sit 1 point outside of Europa League qualifying

Anton Ferdinand - Bursaspor on loan. First team regular, currently 4th place and in a Europe League spot. he recently said he would like to make the move permanent.

Feel free to add any good/crap British players plying their trade abroad

Not technically a 'Brit' but Robbie Keane has 23 goals in 35 games for LA Galaxy, since he joined them last season.

Re Carson and Ferdinand - was reading recently that one of the attractions of Turkey is the 15% rate of income tax. £££££.

James Keene - aside from 9 games on loan at Pompey this year he has spent the last 7 years playing in Scandanavia. I believe he won the Intertoto Cup with Elfsborg in 2008

he should have been whipped round Luton Airport in an open top bus for that top achievement. How many English players can say they have European medals these days?

Pay-check Turnbull. In a few years he'll be another Stuart Taylor.

Does Stuart Taylor have a CL winners medal then?
