I don't mind Waitrose, so that's not so bad.

No surprises. From a branding point of view it's a match absolutely made in heaven.

No problem with that partnership. Be nice one day to get a mega-international brand name with more money than sense throwing cash our way but quietly getting on with it with Waitrose certainly suits our way at the moment and at least they're a local company to Reading.

Happy enough with Waitrose as long as they continue to not use green lettering on the kit!

I am pleased with this. Would rather have a worker's co-operative supermarket which I often use because ironically I can do my shopping in peace without legions of screaming kids and members of the lower social orders stinking up the aisles.

It's better than the Korean photocopier company anyway.

Microsoft pulled the plug due to relegation, so Reading took the 2nd best offer on the table.

One of few sponsors you see do things besides being on the shirts. Their full pages in the papers before the playoff final and after promotion werea touch of class. Happy with this.

If that's the case then Reading took the best offer on the table.

Would most likely have been the Xbox branding on the shirt (if true) rather than microsoft anyway, and that would have been ugly and a bit shit.

No issues with Waitrose.

Good point. And any of these wouldn't have been great on a football shirt:

That isn't the case. You'll soon learn NFA is a wind-up merchant.

He's already said he's seen the away kit, so he already 'knew' who the sponsor was, obviously he didn't want to take the credit, which is honourable.

Of course it's not true.

If Microsoft ever enter the world of football sponsorship they'd be looking for a global brand with global coverage - and their brand values and Reading's are quite different. Just because their office is local is irrelevant to who they'd sponsor.

And anyway, why would Reading go and speak to a potential new sponsor when they already have one who they love and with whom their brand values mesh so perfectly?
