Schards#2 OUT for any friendly against any team unless the cost is minimal and I have absolutely nothing else to do.

I would not pay £20+ for any friendly involving any two teams on the planet

What about a World War II style Allies XI vs Axis Powers XI, played in Escape to Victory kits, and your seat was right up near the commentary box sat above a wall of Nazis in uniform?

That'd be worth twenty quid easily

Or if a full-strength Argentina took on Brazil at the Madejski? You wouldn't pay for that?

Well, I wouldn't. Couldn't give a flying oxf*rd about watching any other team apart from Reading.

You could having Argentina playing Brazil on a pitch up Prospect Park and Reading playing Maidenhead Utd on the next pitch and I'd watch Reading vs Maidenhead every single time.

Agreed. I go to games to watch Reading, not other clubs.

Yeah, I'd like to see Messi cope with dogshit and broken glass on the pitch too.

Leicester lost £2million doing this season before last. It's a decent day out the team and the fans, but not ideal preparation given their league status.

Why is that funny? I'm not Argentinian, I'm not Brazilian. Couldn't give a oxf*rd about either. Should I give a oxf*rd about them?

Alexander Litvinenko Friendlies are like shirts - if you don't like the cost, don't buy it. And don't let anyone convince you you're "any less of a fan" if you don't go.

.

I can't watch friendlies. Reading, England, anyone else.

last preseason friendly i attended was about 10 years ago at the mad stad v Charlton i think. Left after 20 mins.

Not watched and England friendly for years. Ever since they were totally devalued by swapping the entire team at half time.

IF Reading were in Bournemouths position, i wouldn't go to that either, unless it was free. Even then i wouldn't be that bothered.

If you want to see Real Madrid, hop on a flight and see them in a La Liga match. much better option!

You watch Reading every week, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch Argentina v Brazil, and you'd rather watch us in a pointless friendly against Maidenhead?

Leave him to do his "I'm a better fan than you" spiel in peace.

Thing is, with clubs such as Reading, if a big Premier League Club such as Swansea come to town, it's pretty exciting to see some decent players like Michu etc.

No, I wouldn't

It's not that it doesn't involve Reading (I watch hundreds of neutral games a year on Sky), it's the fact that it's not competitive and, therefore, meaningless.

I'm intrigued to see what the attendance for this game is going to be (AFCB v RM I mean, not Argentina v Brazil)

sandman Putting the price aside how in the bluest of blue hell do Bournemouth get Madrid to play them and we get Swansea?

Then again the fact they're charging so much sort of answers the question.

I paid over £90 to watch Reading v Swansea :(
