England V Scotland

by Stuka » 24 Jul 2013 16:38

Obviously not aimed that those who don't do England games or "meaningless friendlies" but anybody watching this or going along?

If the match against Ireland was anything to go by then I'm not expecting much on the pitch, but having seen Scotland play before when they had a friendly against Brazil at the Emirates Stadium, I'm quite looking forward to the spectacle of our brothers in Glengarry hats passing out on Wembley way to the sound to pipes and smashed Buckfast bottles!

The amount of e-mails i am getting about this game from the FA suggests it's not selling well.

Yeah plus adverts in the press etc. In fairness the football will be shit, but I still have a romantic attachment to matches like this. Either that or I'm a sucker.

THe only games I've been to at Wembley where as an England fan I've been in the minority. Every sweaty this side of that fecking wall must have been there.
Walking down the stairs from the old terracing to be greeted with a cry of "If they havenae got tartan on kick 'em!"

Nah, don't think I'll bother thanks

I doubt that's true. I'm sure people wearing a Shell Suit or a Duffel Coat would've been fine.

Went to the Euro 2000 play off at wembley. Saw a jock in a see-you-jimmy wig getting hit round the head with a traffic come.

Didn't even know we were due to play them

I would absolutely love to follow England away. Unfortunatly my wife isn't very sympathetic to the idea of me going to Moldova or somewhere to watch football when we're meant to be saving up to go on holiday to Canada.
