YateleyRoyalKing of Stingretro_royal Pissed the league last year. Strengthened where we were weakest and Coentrao not half bad. A solid deadline day. Thank fock its over. Night.
A solid deadline dayCoentrao lol. Ander Herrera unbelievable lols.
This transfer window has been a disaster for Manchester United and David Moyes. Here is why :-
The summer window opened with media speculation that Bale would leave Spurs and that United would go toe to toe with Real Madrid for his signature. When it became obvious that he would prefer the Spanish option the manc fans I know started to convince themselves that this transfer would upset Cristiano Ronaldo and he would come 'home' to United (how I laughed). The summer continued with rumours of approaches by United for several players including Khediera, Ezequil Garay, and Daniel De Rossi but no progress was made. Then came the embarrassing low ball offers. Cesc Fabregas for £30m in a market where Bale was being priced up at £80m+ and this offer being openly spoken about by Moyes. Then the offer to Everton of £28m, described as derisory, for Fellaini and Baines when Everton had stated that Fellaini would only leave if his buy out clause of £23,5m was met.
All of the above would be forgotten about if it wasn't for the embarrassing final day of the window. Three Amigo's turning up in Madrid to finalise a move for Ander Herrera. I still cant decide if they really were imposters or United just pulled the plug on the deal after getting the lad to state he wanted to leave. Either way it was fecking incredible. Then as the clocked ticked towards the window shutting 'United Sources' stated that a deal had been sorted for Fabio Coentrao. Guess what ? It hadn'tSo you were left with the fuzzy haired one from Everton. If he was what you needed then why not snap him up for the £23.5m buy out clause early and have him integrated into the squad for pre season. Instead it was left to the last minute, forcing the player into submitting a transfer request and United to pay an extra £4m.
If all this wasn't enough to leave United fans pissed off they can cast their minds back to Sunday
Liverpool 1 Manchester United 0.
Yes a defeat to the scousers is never pleasant for a United fan.
Now I am the first to admit that your club has been the absolute benchmark for the last couple of decades under SAF.
Will the success continue with the new regime of Moyes and Woodward ? Nobody knows for sure. But it has been a fecking woeful start.

No Fixed Abode Liverpool fans would know a thing or two about disastrous transfer windows. Downing, Carroll, Adam to name but a few. Then sold on for a massive loss.
It's a bit embarrassing that in the 23 years since you last won the league, your club has spent more money than United and don't have a league title to show for it.

No Fixed Abode You mean Torres who helped us win the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup since his move from Liverpool?

Yes him. If you think he has been value for money then you are blind, insane or both![]()
Have a go in my top 6 thread kes. I would be interested in your predictions.
King of Sting First of all I think your figures are wrong but you have read it somewhere so believe it as gospel. They certainly do not include things like player wages, for instance Wayne Rooney earns £250,000 a week. Liverpools top earners get nowhere near that amount. I am actually quite happy where we are these days. We can't compete with the arabs at City, the oligarch at Chelsea or the corporate machine that is MUFC. But we are a stable self sustained club these days and I like that. If I live till I am 100 and we never win another trophy I have still been spoiled. 5 European cups in my lifetime and I was there for 4 of them.

We earned £51m in prize money alone for our Champions League success in 2012. £24m from the Europa League in 2013 and £1.8m for the FA Cup win.
*This does not include gate receipts and other forms of revenue....

I told you that over 23 years you had spent more money than United, which is correct. You said I was incorrect. Rooney may be on high wages, but United's revenue far exceeds that of Liverpool.
£84m more in transfer fees! LOL!! Not surprising when you pay £20m for the likes of Downing.
